PILATES TRAINING
WITH EQUIPMENT
WHAT MAKES EQUIPMENT-BASED PILATES SO SPECIAL?
Joseph Hubertus Pilates is the inventor of the Pilates method practiced worldwide today—a method based on the idea that true well-being is closely linked to mastering one’s own body. Today, both fitness enthusiasts and professionals in physiotherapy and rehabilitation rely on equipment-based Pilates training, just as we offer it in our studio in Frankfurt. Training on original Pilates equipment stands out for its versatility, creativity, and holistic approach.
Pilates is a joint-friendly yet highly effective full-body workout. It specifically strengthens the deep stabilizing muscles, improves posture, tones the body, and increases joint mobility. Compared to mat Pilates, Pilates equipment allows for much more precise execution of each exercise. The machines guide you through the movements and support correct alignment and clean technique.
Thanks to an individually adjustable spring system in various lengths and strengths, we can tailor resistance precisely to your needs and gradually increase the level of difficulty at your own pace. Unlike conventional weights used in gyms, the springs are designed to mimic the behavior of human muscles: the further they are stretched, the greater the resistance becomes.
Overview of Pilates Equipment

The Ladder Barrel

The Reformer
The Reformer is the most well-known and popular Pilates apparatus on the market and also an indispensable part of our studio in Frankfurt. As a true all-rounder, the Reformer allows training of all body areas in various positions. Its sophisticated spring system allows for adjustment of exercises to different difficulty levels, making the training suitable for both beginners and advanced practitioners.

The Wunda Chair
Joseph Pilates developed the Wunda Chair with the aim of creating a challenging, varied, and space-saving Pilates apparatus – and he definitely succeeded. Despite its small size, the "miraculous chair" is extremely effective. With the Wunda Chair, versatile full-body training is possible, particularly challenging the deep muscles. As not the entire body fits on the platform, muscle strength is required to maintain balance.

The Cadillac
The Cadillac trains a variety of movements with different resistance levels. This helps strengthen the body, develop lean muscles, and increase flexibility. Blood circulation and overall circulation are also improved through training. On the Cadillac, the dream of floating comes true, but not without a noticeable challenge for the core muscles. The body is fixed at the feet and hands to ensure stability in the floating position. But that's not all: Thanks to hand and foot straps, the bar (roll-down bar), the springs, and the padding, the Cadillac offers versatile training in various positions and difficulty levels.
